Privacy Policy

Last updated: 5 Nov 2026This policy explains what personal information AURUM Hair & Beauty collects when you visit our website, book an appointment or contact us, why we need it and how we protect it.

  1. 1. Who we are

    1.1. AURUM Hair & Beauty operates two hair salons in Shanghai (Jing'an and Xuhui) and this website. For any privacy question, write to aurumhair@gmail.com.

  2. 2. What we collect

    2.1. Booking and request forms: your name, phone number, optional WeChat ID, the service, salon, stylist, date and time you choose, and any comment you add.

    2.2. Model applications: hair length, current colour, the look you would like and, if you give it, your Instagram name.

    2.3. With your permission only: anonymous statistics about how the site is used (pages viewed, buttons clicked, the advertising campaign that brought you). These statistics do not include your name or phone number.

  3. 3. Why we use it

    3.1. To confirm, change or remind you about appointments; to answer your questions; to prepare gift cards and memberships you order; to run the AURUM Circle loyalty programme; and to improve the website.

    3.2. We send marketing messages only if you ask for them, and you can stop them at any time.

  4. 4. Who we share it with

    4.1. Your details are seen only by our salon team. We use trusted service providers for website hosting and messaging, who process data on our instructions. We never sell personal information.

    4.2. We disclose information to authorities only when the law requires it.

  5. 5. How long we keep it

    5.1. Booking details are kept for 24 months after your last visit so we can repeat your colour formula. Requests you send through the site are deleted after 12 months if they did not lead to a booking. Anonymous statistics are kept for 26 months.

  6. 6. How we protect it

    6.1. The website uses an encrypted connection (HTTPS). Access to client records is limited to staff who need it, and we review access regularly.

  7. 7. Your rights

    7.1. You can ask us to show, correct or delete your information, withdraw your consent or close your AURUM Circle account. Write to aurumhair@gmail.com and we will reply within 15 working days.

  8. 8. Children

    8.1. Appointments for children under 14 must be made by a parent or guardian, who gives consent on their behalf.

  9. 9. Changes to this policy

    9.1. We may update this policy. The date of the latest version is shown at the top of the page; important changes are also announced on the website.
